Scientific direction of the departments work.

- problems of radionuclid-contaminated territories and approaches to its solution;
- development and use of phytomedications in the health rehabilitation and treatment;
- making of incrustation mixtures for the presowing treatment of the seeds;
- rehabilitation of the broken grounds (dust suppression dust suppression, speeded up sodding etc.).

Perspective researches and elaborations, information about the service.
Main direction of the service's work is the problems of the soils, which suffered from the Chornobyl NPP Accident. Well-founded conception of non-proliferation of the radionuclids from contaminated territories as one of the methods of improvement of the radiation condition of this territories and decreasing of the anthropogenic burden of this territories to environment. A number of techlogies for the realization of the tasks, which result from the suggested conception, is developed. Among them dust suppression technologies, technologies of the speeded up chemico-biological securing of the defective soils, fixation of the radionuclids in the soil's plough-layer, decontamination of the surface-contaminated soils, plant products' limited accumulation of the radionuclids with the help of agrochemical means. It is determined that with the help of relatively simple methods it's possible to reduce the spreading of 90Sr and 137Cs from the contaminated territories of ChNPP Accident exclusion zone in 2-10 times.

One more orientation in the department's work is using of phytomedications for the health rehabilitation and treatment. Balsam for cure of the mastopathy is developed. Preliminary tests determined its high effectiveness - in 80% cases pronounced positive dynamics is determined.
Besides the composition, which can serve as a basis for production of incrustation mixtures for the presowing treatment of the seeds is discovered in the department. Produced incrustation mixtures for corn seeds, vegetable crops don't yield in their effectiveness to foreign analogues.
There are some positive results in the field of dust suppression and speeded up sodding of broken grounds (works for the elimination of the accident on the ChNPP Accident after-effects, strengthening of the waste of the ore industrial complexes).
